Landscape lighting-

Too often we hear complaints about LEDs being too harsh, or too blue. Todays quality LED fixtures are currently available in a wide color temperature range: from the warmer 2700 to the cooler 5000 Kelvin and higher. For a calming, inviting “homey” feel we recommend the easier on the eye lower temperatures.

However, for more dramatic moon-scaping applications, or highlighting more modern architecture, bumping up to 3000K produces a more contemporary effect. Occasionally, even higher temperatures are best. For example, using a higher Kelvin lamp on a blue spruce will actually enhance and bring out the dark blues and silvers of the pine needles.

Many options exist when selecting color temperature for outdoor lighting.
